Aug 15, 2025 Sales Results
The 2025 NSBA Yearling Sale, bringing in $1,789,750 in sales monies, held during the prestigious NSBA World Show, offered buyers a unique opportunity to secure some of the industry’s most promising young prospects — and in many cases, at prices that represented exceptional value.
This year’s sale had all the hallmarks of the NSBA’s premier event: elite pedigrees, well-prepared yearlings, and serious bidding for standout individuals. But while the top horses still commanded strong prices, the market leaned in favour of buyers, with no yearling crossing the six-figure mark. The highest sale of the day reached $75,000, proof that exceptional horses were still in demand — but also that savvy buyers could acquire future champions at competitive prices.
From high-calibre Western Pleasure prospects to future Hunter Under Saddle stars, the top 10 sellers demonstrated the depth of quality in this year’s sale.

Bloodlines still drove buyer interest, with several stallions proving their influence in the sales ring. Leading the way was Heart Stoppin, whose progeny brought in $263,450, an average of $18,817.86 per horse.

The 2025 NSBA Yearling Sale closed with an average sale price of $15,979.91, reflecting the balance between premium bids for elite prospects and attractive buying opportunities across the board. Compared to previous years, the numbers suggest that while the top tier remains strong, the middle market offers excellent value for those investing in quality bloodlines.
As the sale concluded, buyers left with yearlings that have the potential to shine at future NSBA World Show events — and breeders left with the satisfaction of knowing their stock is in capable hands. With several offspring from leading sires like Heart Stoppin changing hands, the upcoming show seasons promise exciting matchups and new names rising to the top.
