Where the Gavel Fell Hardest: Top 5 Lots of the Sale
The bidding was intense, but five standout lots rose to the top, each reflecting a unique blend of pedigree, performance, and future promise.
Topping the sale was UR One Famous Rebel, affectionately known as “Rico.” This 2009 chestnut stallion by Dash Ta Fame out of Denas Dividend (by Lanes Leinster) sold for $106,000. With over $50,000 in lifetime earnings under Jana Bean at both futurity and pro rodeo levels, Rico has already proven himself as both a competitor and a sire of multiple earners. The purchase included his coveted Ruby Buckle Stallion slot and 1,000 straws of frozen semen, providing buyers with a ready-made, proven breeding program.
The Gypsy Lane Z, a 2024 sorrel stallion by The Goodbye Lane out of Hip Swingin Gypsy (by Firewaterontherocks), sold for $48,000. His sire has produced over $14 million in winners, while his dam earned more than $106,000 and has produced over $885,000 in offspring earnings, including Pink Buckle Futurity Champion Slick Swingin. Eligible for nearly every major incentive program, this young stallion represents both immediate potential and long-term breeding value.
Carried by Streakin Six Babe and sired by SR Industry Titan, a foal in utero brought $40,000. SR Industry Titan’s career as a futurity champion and NFR qualifier, combined with Streakin Six Babe’s $1.6 million produce record, made this unborn foal one of the most anticipated lots of the day. Buyers secured the next generation of barrel racing talent, due May 2, 2026.
CZ Huckleberry Vodka, a 2021 bay filly by Triple Vodka out of Haleys Moon Steppin, was purchased for $35,000. Already in training with Kay Blanford and enrolled in top incentive programs including Ruby Buckle and Future Fortunes, she is on track for 5-year-old futurities. Buyers recognized both her competitive potential and long-term value as a mare with exceptional bloodlines.
Rounding out the top five was Miss Fast Wagon, a 2018 bay mare by Tres Seis out of BP Fast Wagon (by PYC Paint Your Wagon), sold for $30,000. Offered as a 2-in-1 package in foal to Epic Leader, the unborn foal is eligible for nearly every major barrel incentive. While Miss Fast Wagon’s own career was brief, her offspring are already showing great promise, making her a valuable addition to any breeding program.
