Huge congratulations to Mike Hachtel on officially joining NSBA’s Quarter Million Dollar Club, surpassing $250,000 in lifetime NSBA earnings.
Mike reached the milestone at The Madness in Wilmington, Ohio, after earning 8th place in the Madness 3-Year-Old & Older Novice Horse Western Pleasure Slot class, adding $1,500 aboard SST Super Sport and showing for Nettie Olsen.
A Markel/APHA Professional Horseman, Mike owns and operates Espuela Ranch in Collinsville, Texas, and has specialised in developing Western Pleasure horses for more than 30 years. Over the years, his résumé has included numerous NSBA, APHA, and ApHC world and futurity titles, including world championships in NSBA 3-Year-Old Color Western Pleasure and Color Senior Western Pleasure, along with major futurity wins such as March To The Arch Color Open Western Pleasure Futurity, APHA Gold Breeders’ Futurity (2YO and 3YO WP), and the All American Quarter Horse Congress Masters 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure Futurity (Limited Open).
NSBA shared that Mike will be recognised during the NSBA Honors Banquet at the 2026 NSBA World Championship Show and Breeders Championship Futurity in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
