Feature Release v1.3, an article published on StallionCompare.

Improved performance and enhanced user experience – that's the name of the game, here. Let's go through latest feature updates and bug fixes for this release. Discover how we're enhancing functionality to better serve your needs and elevate your experience on our platform.

1.0 Multi-disciplinary stallions.

For stallions who compete in multiple arenas, it was an important feature to introduce. This allows stallions to show in multiple search parameters. For example, if a stallion competes in roping, ranch, and speed events – he will now show up in filtered down search results for each of those.

2.0 Four generation pedigrees.

Maybe you've noticed – but over the past few weeks the pedigrees grew a whole extra generation. We've been hard at working building these out. This took our overall horse database (this includes stallions, all horses in pedigrees, and winning progeny) from 3,200 and change, to just over 5,000 horses.

3.0 New & improved icons in pedigrees.

If you weren't aware, the symbol to the right triggers a popup to load on-screen which will allow you to see more details on the horse within the pedigree. However, if there are no additional details, this symbol will not be present with the horse. In some cases, where we were able to source imagery, you'll also see that there alongside any stats.
The eye icon represents the ability to "view" the stallion in question. These icons will only be found on stallions that are existing within the database as active breeding horses.

4.0 Pedigree saturation icons.

Brand new addition to the four generation pedigrees is the ability to easily, and quickly, recognize duplications of a given ancestor. You'll note below in our sample that the stallion has a duplication of Zippo Pine Bar. We've indicated that with blue diamonds. Look out for these throughout the site, as each horse is different!

5.0 Smaller bug fixes.

Stallions who have sadly passed on, now have a link on their page pointing to their obituary on our website. It will be formatted as following: "In loving memory of One Special Asset, 2011 – 2024. View obituary."
Fix of pagination on stallion search results listing page.
Some pedigree details on specific horses were appropriately adjusted for errors.
