Macs Good N Plenty, a 1997 brown stallion, was laid to rest on Christmas Eve due to complications related to advanced age. Mac was owned by Rylan Sundsbak and Makayla Nyre and lived at Sundsbak Performance Horses in Hazen, North Dakota. Mac was a kind, gentle soul and a barn favorite, with his incredibly beautiful head and soft eye.
He has proven himself as a sire and in the show pen, siring 580 foals that have earned 23,400+ AQHA points, 72 AQHA Superior Awards, 18 AQHA Championship Awards, and 246 AQHA ROM’s. Mac's progeny have earned over half a million dollars in total earnings, including $465,000+ in the NSBA and $83,000+ in the AQHA Incentive Fund.
Some of Mac's well-known offspring include Heavenly Mac, Good N Dandy Mac, Good N Plenty Gold, Macs Good N Hot, Lil Boss Man, and Macs Cruisin Chip. Macs Good N Plenty was a champion in trail and western riding, AQHA Youth Supreme Champion, and AQHA Superior All-Around in Open and Amateur.
Our hearts go out to all of those close to Mac at this difficult time. A legend is lost, but will forever be remembered for his contribution to the breed, his beauty, and kindness.
