The StallionCompare community is heartbroken to share the passing of the beautiful and beloved stallion, Platinum Sixx.
Known to his many fans and friends simply as P6, Platinum Sixx was the kind of horse that left an impression — striking in appearance, full of heart, and endlessly kind. A gentle soul with a powerful presence, his time here was far too short, but deeply meaningful to those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Earlier this year, P6 suffered a severe injury after slicing his hoof and breaching the joint capsule — a devastating setback that required extensive medical intervention. After surgery, he bravely fought through a difficult recovery, demonstrating the same quiet strength and resilience that had made him such a joy to be around. But when complications from a post-operative infection took hold, his loving owner made the brave and selfless decision to let him go — sparing him any more pain.
He passed with dignity, wrapped in love, and with a legacy that will live on.
“He’s now laying in a big beautiful green pasture doing his favorite thing, sun bathing for hours. He also has all the alfalfa he could ever want in front of him.”
Platinum Sixx may be gone from the show pen, but he’ll never be gone from our hearts. He was so much more than a stallion — he was a best friend, a bright light, and a beautiful reminder of how lucky we are to love horses like him.
Rest easy, sweet boy. You were — and will always be — someone’s favourite.
