It is with great sadness that we at StallionCompare.com acknowledge the passing of the remarkable stallion, Solanos Kicker (1995–2024). As the only AQHA/APHA/Pinto son of the legendary Texas Kicker—an NRHA Reserve World Champion—standing at public stud, Solanos Kicker was a one-of-a-kind figure in the reining and performance horse world. His impact on the industry will be felt for generations to come.
Solanos Kicker carved out his own path as a true competitor and champion. He was an NRHA money earner with APHA points in Reining, Cowhorse, and Trail. His versatility and excellence were further demonstrated through his multiple top 5 placings at prestigious events, including the APHA World Show 3 Year Old Reining Challenge and Color Congress Cowhorse competitions. Beyond the show ring, he was a Texas Paint Horse Club Buckle and High Point winner, excelling in disciplines ranging from reining and cowhorse to halter, pleasure, barrels, poles, and even breakaway roping.
His passing marks the end of an era, but his influence on the sport and his progeny will keep his legacy alive. We at StallionCompare.com, along with the community at large, extend our heartfelt condolences to all those who loved, admired, and were fortunate enough to know this extraordinary stallion. Solanos Kicker will be remembered not only for his achievements but for the lasting impact he leaves on the industry.
