The StallionCompare team extends our deepest condolences to Rudd Quarter Horses on the devastating loss of their beloved stallion, Ultimo Minuto ("Gordy"). A standout in the Hunter Under Saddle world, Ultimo Minuto was known not only for his impressive size and ability but for the heart and kindness he carried into every arena and barn he graced.
Born in 2010, this 17.2-hand bay AQHA stallion was sired by Do You Have A Minute and out of So So Deniro. He was 6-panel negative and a shining example of athleticism, elegance, and temperament. His accolades were numerous: 2014 High Point Jr Hunter Under Saddle, 2014 Green Working Hunter Over Fences Stallion, Top Ten World Show Performance Halter Stallion, 2013 AQHA High Point Green Hunter Under Saddle Stallion, and 2013 Top Powers Champion 3YO Hunter Under Saddle Stallion.
Gordy’s time was cut tragically short following an irreparable injury that resulted in a shattered leg. His owners made the heartbreaking decision to lay him to rest with compassion and love. While his show career and legacy as a sire speak volumes, it is the quiet, daily presence and the bond he formed with those around him that will be missed most.
Ultimo Minuto leaves behind not just a record of championships, but a legacy built on heart, connection, and class. His influence will carry on in his offspring and in the lives he touched, both in and out of the show ring.
We join the Rudd Quarter Horses family in mourning his loss, and in celebrating all that he was.
