There are some horses who come into our lives and change everything — not slowly, but all at once. Ur Ride Has Arrived, lovingly known as “Thomas,” was that kind of horse for Emma Krimm.
Emma purchased Thomas in October 2023, stepping into an exciting new chapter with a gelding already admired for his talent and all-around ability, with their debut planned for the All American Quarter Horse Congress. In the short three years that followed, Thomas became far more than a show partner. He became Emma’s “unicorn” – the horse who gave her confidence, joy, and the kind of partnership that only comes once in a lifetime.
Following complications from an injury, Thomas was laid to rest — a decision made out of love when the outcome could no longer be changed. And in the wake of that loss, what remains is the truth Emma shared so plainly: that every ride mattered — the magical ones, and even the hard ones — because they were together.
Thomas was bred by Tami Collingsworth, and beautifully bred – sired by Batt Man and out of Ms Poison Ivy (Invitation Only). But his greatest legacy won’t be found only in a pedigree or a record. It will be found in the moments Emma will carry for the rest of her life: the comfort, the pride, the hope, and the love.
To Emma, and to everyone who knew and loved Thomas – we are deeply sorry.
Rest easy, sweet boy. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten. 🤍
