The equine industry mourns the loss of the great gelding, Al Of A Sudden, affectionately known as Tulsa or TT, who passed away on September 16, 2025.
Sired by the legendary RL Best of Sudden and out of Al Be A Barbie Doll, herself a daughter of AQHA Hall of Fame inductee Allocate Your Assets, Al Of A Sudden carried a pedigree steeped in greatness. Bred by Kathy Tobin and owned by Jordan Macan, Tulsa embodied not only the strength of his bloodlines but also the heart and spirit that make horses unforgettable.
Jordan shared a deep and profound connection with Tulsa — one that began the moment they met. Though their first rides together were a test of wills, the journey they embarked on shaped both horse and rider in immeasurable ways. Tulsa was more than a show partner; he was a teacher, a challenger, and, above all, a source of joy and inspiration. His drive, power, and undeniable presence elevated Jordan as a rider, a leader, and a person.
In Jordan’s words, Tulsa was the horse who “truly elevated me in every aspect, as a rider, as a leader, as a listener, and most importantly, as a person.” He was the horse who made dreams a reality, gave lessons that extended far beyond the arena, and reminded his people every day of the beauty of partnership.
Tulsa leaves behind not just a record in the show pen, but a legacy of love, lessons, and memories that will live on with those who knew him best.
Though his time was far too short, Al Of A Sudden will be forever remembered as a once-in-a-lifetime horse. For Jordan and all who loved him, this is not goodbye — only a see you later.
Rest easy, Tulsa. You were loved beyond measure, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
