We at StallionCompare are deeply saddened to share the passing of Bank On The Best, lovingly known as “Cash.” Our heartfelt condolences go to Kathryn Sneed, her family, stallion manager Carolyn La Rose, and everyone who cared for and believed in this remarkable horse.
According to his connections, a thorough evaluation at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital revealed an unexpected, previously undetected injury. The old injury had led to serious complications that increasingly affected his comfort and quality of life. In consultation with his veterinary team, the compassionate decision was made to let him go peacefully.
Cash was a stallion of kindness, presence, and quality. His legacy lives on in the foals he sired and in the many people he touched throughout his life.
Out of respect for the family, we ask the industry to please honour Kathryn’s privacy during this difficult time.
Per the stallion’s management, the 2026 breeding season will be fulfilled via ICSI only. Mare owners with signed contracts will be contacted directly, all inquiries directed to Carolyn La Rose.
