Some horses are born into greatness.
Others earn it.
Bestdippednchocolate, affectionately known as “Amy,” did both.
Bred and raised by Voge Quarter Horses, Amy carried one of the most celebrated pedigrees in the Western Pleasure industry. Sired by the legendary RL Best of Sudden and out of Gorgeous N Chocolate, an own daughter of Zips Chocolate Chip and out of Hot And Gorgeous, herself by Blazing Hot, Amy represented generations of excellence, athleticism, and timeless quality.
She more than lived up to those expectations.
Amy built an impressive show career of her own, earning an AQHA Open Performance Register of Merit, becoming the AQHYA Reserve World Champion Level 2 Performance Halter Mare, AQHYA Reserve Champion Performance Halter Mare, and placing Third at the Select World Show in Performance Halter. She also captured prestigious futurity titles, including the Congress Champion Limited Two-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure Stakes and championships at the Tom Powers Futurity in both the Limited and Intermediate divisions. Those accomplishments established her as an exceptional competitor with beauty, presence, and undeniable talent.
Yet, like so many truly great mares, Amy’s influence was only beginning.
She transitioned into the broodmare band carrying with her not only a remarkable pedigree, but the ability to pass those qualities to the next generation. Her foals, including On Fiire, by Fiire N Ice, who was proudly selected for the 2025 NSBA Yearling Sale, have already begun carrying her legacy forward, offering a glimpse of what the future still holds through her bloodlines.
The passing of a mare like Amy is felt far beyond a single farm. Great broodmares are the quiet architects of tomorrow’s champions. Their greatest victories often come long after their own show careers have ended, living on through every colt and filly that inherits a piece of who they were.
From all of us at StallionCompare, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Voge Quarter Horses and to everyone fortunate enough to know, show, or admire Amy throughout her life.
Rest easy, beautiful girl. Though your journey ended far too soon, your story is far from over. It will continue in every foal that carries your grace, your talent, and the extraordinary heritage you were so proud to represent.
