With heavy hearts, we share our deepest condolences to Hali Morgan and Dalton Allen on the loss of their sweet mare, Boston Invitation – gone far too soon.
Just hours before her passing, Hali had asked for prayers for her mare Sadie (Invitation Only × Zippin N Boston), after an unexpected and frightening medical emergency. The kind that no breeder can ever prepare for – the kind that turns an ordinary morning into a fight you never wanted to have. Hali and her veterinary team acted quickly and did everything they could, holding onto hope moment by moment.
Boston Invitation was carrying the foal Hali was most excited about for the future – a baby carrying both promise and meaning, bred to Hali and Dalton’s stallion Strutin On The Range. In her brief time with Hali & Dalton, she represented all the reasons people keep breeding, keep dreaming, and keep believing in what’s coming next.
There are losses in this industry that stay with you. Losing a mare is heartbreaking. Losing a foal is devastating. And when it all happens together – it’s the kind of grief that settles deep.
To Hali and Dalton: we are so sorry.
Rest easy, little Boston. You were wanted, loved, and prayed for – and you will not be forgotten.
