With heavy hearts, we share the passing of DMAC Gran Finale (by Young Gun), a cherished mare who was humanely laid to rest at 25 golden years of age. For more than two decades, “Gran” stood at the centre of Teresa Martin's program — their first cow-bred mare and a steady, reliable partner who always delivered.
Her people made the bravest, kindest choice any horse owner can make. She crossed the rainbow bridge at home, in her own pasture, alongside two of her pasture mates, with compassionate care from their veterinarian, Dr. Robert Conley. Few gifts are greater than a peaceful goodbye in familiar grass and good company.
To Teresa Martin and family: thank you for giving Gran 21 wonderful years under your watch. Your devotion, right through her final day, reflects the very best of horsemanship and reminds us why great horses become part of the family.
Mares like DMAC Gran Finale shape programs, teach patience, and leave legacies that outlast pedigrees. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her consistency, and the love she inspired.
Run free, sweet mare – pain-free and forever loved.
