With heavy hearts, we remember Dont Skip Cookie — “Cookie” — a treasured mare whose kindness and legacy will live on through every foal she brought into the world.
As Dennis Oyer shared, “Goodbye to our sweet Cookie tonight. A life well lived, a legacy still running in every foal she gave us. Some mares leave hoof prints that never fade. Forever grateful for this special mare!” And that is exactly who Cookie was: the kind of mare you don’t just own — you thank.
Her impressive pedigree boasts Dont Skip Zip × Cookie Leaguer (Zips Chocolate Chip × Follow the Leaguer), Cookie carried quality in her pedigree and heart in her day-to-day. She was the kind of mother-mare who built a program quietly — through consistency, character, and the kind of foals that make you proud.
Cookie’s legacy is reflected in the horses she produced, including:
- Ten Four (2024 gelding, Madefourit) — bred by Stephanie Armellini & Dennis Oyer
- Made In A Dream (2021 mare, Machine Made) — bred by Karen G. Wood
- Dont Skip This Code (2020 gelding, VS Code Blue) — bred by Stanley & Susan Scott
- No Doubt Ima Cupcake (2017 mare, No Doubt Im Lazy) — bred by Stanley & Susan Scott
- Best One Around (2015 mare, RL Best Of Sudden) — bred by Stanley & Susan Scott
- The Cookie Monster (2010 mare, The Invitation) — bred by Patsy A. Casey
To everyone who loved her — and especially to those who raised her, bred her, and cherished her — we extend our sincere condolences.
Rest easy, sweet Cookie. Your hoof prints will not fade. 🤍
