Eleven years wasn’t nearly enough time with Frenchmans Coronajet. Known affectionately as “Corona,” the beautiful buckskin stallion was everything his family could have hoped for: talented, athletic, incredibly kind, and loved beyond measure. His passing on October 19, 2026, has left those closest to him heartbroken, with a lifetime of memories and a new generation of young horses to carry his legacy forward.
Foaled on April 4, 2015, Corona carried an exceptional pedigree. Sired by Bedouin Cartel, a son of the legendary Corona Cartel, and out of Frenchmans Belle Jet, by the great Frenchmans Guy, he represented a compelling combination of speed, athleticism, and proven performance bloodlines. Corona possessed the kind of quality and presence that made him a particularly special stallion.
Yet, as his family so lovingly shared, it wasn’t simply his pedigree or physical ability that defined him.
Corona was an incredibly kind horse. Despite his strength and athleticism, he possessed a gentle nature that endeared him to everyone who spent time around him. He was breathtakingly beautiful, remarkably talented, and, perhaps most importantly, a genuinely good horse to know and love.
At just 11 years old, Corona should have had many more years ahead of him. More seasons in the breeding barn, more foals arriving each spring, and more opportunities to watch the next generation develop into the athletes he was bred to produce.
Thankfully, part of that future remains.
His family shared that Corona leaves behind yearlings, weanlings, and precious foals still waiting to be born. In the years ahead, there will be opportunities to see his influence emerge through their movement, athleticism, beauty, and perhaps even the gentle disposition that made their sire so dearly loved.
For those who cared for Corona, however, his legacy will always be more personal than a pedigree or produce record. It will be found in the memories of an exceptional stallion who was everything they could have hoped for, and whose presence made their lives richer.
From all of us at StallionCompare, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Corona’s family, his breeders, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing, caring for, and loving this beautiful stallion.
Rest peacefully, Corona.
