In Memory of Gunners Chic Magnet (“Vince”)
With deep sadness, the reining community bids farewell to the remarkable stallion Gunners Chic Magnet, affectionately known as “Vince.” A true athlete and beloved partner, Vince passed away earlier this year, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew and admired him.
By the legendary Colonels Smoking Gun (Gunner) and out of the great mare Wind Her Up Chic (by Smart Chic Olena), Vince carried a pedigree steeped in performance—and he more than lived up to it. He earned over $60,000 in his career and achieved numerous major accolades, including:
- NRHA European Derby 2016 Finalist (Levels 4 & 3) – Score: 221.5 | Go-Round Leader: 222.5
- NRHA European Derby 2017 L3 Champion, 5th in L4 – Score: 221.5
- NRHA European Affiliate Champion 2017 – Intermediate Open
- Austrian Futurity Show 2017 – $5,000 Added Open Reserve Champion – Score: 227.5
- CRI Champion Easter Tournament Kreuth 2018 – Score: 222.5
- NRHA European Derby 2018 L2 Champion, 3rd in L3, 9th in L4 – Score: 220.5
- NRHA European Affiliate Reserve Champion 2018 – Intermediate Open
Beyond his decorated record, Vince was a stallion of grace, intelligence, and charisma. He was more than a competitor—he was a beloved companion and member of the family. His influence can be seen in his offspring, and felt in the hearts of those he inspired.
To his devoted owners and team, we extend our deepest condolences during this incredibly difficult time. Your love and care for Vince was evident in every moment of his journey, and we mourn this loss alongside you.
May his memory continue to shine brightly in the show pen and in the stories yet to be told. Rest easy, Vince—you will never be forgotten.
