In Loving Memory of Pablos Cover Girl “Granny”
By Pablo San • 34 cherished years • Loved by Chelsea Schneider & family
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a beloved mare whose gentle presence graced generations — Pablos Cover Girl, affectionately known as “Granny.” At 34 years old, Granny lived a long, meaningful life filled with love, purpose, and quiet dignity. She spent her final years surrounded by her best friend Bugs and the joy of watching new life grow in the pasture beside her — a fitting testament to her legacy of companionship and comfort.
Granny held a very special place in the heart of Chelsea Schneider and her family, not only as a cherished companion, but as a living connection to the late stallion Pablo San — Chelsea’s father’s horse. Granny was the last living daughter of Pablo San, a remarkable sire known for earning NCHA $10,635, a ROM in Open Cutting, and siring offspring with over $386,000 in NCHA earnings. Her lineage was steeped in cutting horse history, and she carried it with the kind of grace that needs no fanfare.
Always the first to greet visitors with her sweet face and kind eyes, Granny was the heart of the pasture. Her gentle spirit and quiet joy will be missed by all who knew her. Though her body has left this world, her presence — her legacy — will remain etched in the lives she touched and the memories she helped shape.
To Chelsea and her entire family, as well as the friends who helped care for Granny in her final moments — especially Debbie Hubbert and Garth Brown — we extend our deepest sympathy and gratitude. Your love gave Granny the retirement she so deserved.
Run free, sweet girl. You were so loved.
