It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shez Paidtobe Sleepy, lovingly known as Dutchess. A 2012 chestnut AQHA mare, Dutchess was sired by the legendary Too Sleepy To Zip and out of the lovely mare Shez Paid For (Potential Career).
Dutchess was more than just a beautiful, accomplished horse; she was a true companion, loved by everyone who knew her. She carried countless people around the show ring, earning numerous points and accolades. Among her many accomplishments, Dutchess just last year was named 2X Reserve Congress Champion with Lucas Alcock.
Bred and owned by the Rivait family, Dutchess was a horse with a heart full of grace and a spirit that will forever be cherished. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her owners, handlers, and all those who witnessed her beauty and talent in the show ring.
Rest in peace, Dutchess. You were a dream, and you will never be forgotten.
