Remembering Try That On For Size
💔 April 13, 2021 – February 24, 2025 💔
Sometimes, a horse comes along who changes everything—who teaches, inspires, and fills the world with an irreplaceable spark of joy. Try That On For Size, affectionately known as Ardan, was one of those rare souls. A horse who didn’t just live but loved life, and in turn, was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Bred and raised with care, Ardan was his owner’s first homegrown stallion prospect, a journey that brought lessons, challenges, and countless unforgettable moments. From the adorable baby stage to the “terrible twos” and into the mature, kind-hearted stallion he became, he embodied the very best of his lineage.
Ardan’s talent was undeniable. Even when his rider faltered, he never gave less than his absolute best—his effort and heart shining through every ride. At every show, spectators couldn’t help but take notice, drawn to his natural presence, promise, and undeniable charisma.
But beyond his talent, Ardan was a friend. A barn favorite, a light-hearted mischief-maker, and a true joy to be around. He filled the world with laughter, playing for hours with his favorite toys—an empty feed bag, a hot walker chain, a lead rope, and even his neighbor’s tail. There was never a dull moment in his presence.
His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit—his playful energy, his kindness, and his unwavering “try”—will live on.
Run free, Ardan. You were loved beyond words, and your impact will never be forgotten. Your journey here was far too short, but the love you gave will last a lifetime.
